19 of Daniil Medvedev's 21 victories have been won on hard surfaces
A resurgent the Russian player secured his initial trophy for over two years with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the competition championship match.
Medvedev, a former number one, has experienced a challenging period, achieving just one match at the big events and experiencing a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
His varied form on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his serving in especial - caused him dropping out of the world's top 10 and ultimately splitting with long-term trainer Gilles Cervara.
Now collaborating with his coach and his other coach, he has consistently advanced in the recent weeks - peaking in a hard-fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over challenger Corentin Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's maiden championship following the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hard court after spring of the previous year.
Success also indicates Medvedev has achieved 21 championships at twenty-one distinct competitions.
"It's the first time I am participating in a event with my children together, so to get a trophy is particularly special," commented tennis professional Medvedev.
"This championship is in honour of my second daughter my daughter, because the initial championship I achieved when my first daughter Alisa was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the past champion, had been defeated in his last six finals, including in that event previously this season.
Medvedev's defensive strategy and frequent emotional displays on the playing surface had caused commentators to wonder if his skill to compete at the top level was concluded.
But the player has made changes in recent weeks, making an effort to approach the net and play positively, reinforced by an better serving game.
He came back from a disadvantage in the first set against the challenging Moutet, taking four of the concluding five points to gain the advantage.
Both players exchanged break points in the following set before the Frenchman, bidding for his maiden tour championship, gained dominance to push for a third set.
The opponent rescued 4 early break points in a close final set before the champion secured a break to that score to close out the victory.
Appropriately, the winner earned victory with a rally at the net, with Moutet incapable to handle a volley after over two and a half hours.
